Terms

These terms apply when you join Demo Golf Society, enter its events or use this website and app. The service is run for the society by Trailhead Holdings Ltd, trading as MVP Golf. By joining or booking, you agree to these terms. If you have a question, email the Demo Golf Society committee at secretary@example.com.

Membership and monthly billing

• Membership is a rolling monthly subscription, paid by card through Stripe. The price is shown before you join.
• Your card is charged on the same day each month until you cancel. Prices are in pounds sterling.
• If a payment fails, Stripe will try again. Booking may be paused until your membership is paid up.
• The society will give at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the membership price.

Cancelling your membership

You can cancel at any time from your membership page, which opens Stripe's secure customer portal. Your membership runs to the end of the month you have paid for and is not renewed. Part months are not refunded. Event entries you have already paid for are not affected.

Event entry

• Members with an active membership can book events while booking is open. Entry fees are shown before you pay.
• Your place is confirmed once payment succeeds. If an event is full, you can join the waitlist where the society runs one.
• To withdraw, use your dashboard or contact the committee. Refunds are at the committee's discretion. As a guide, withdrawing before booking closes is usually refunded in full, and later withdrawals are refunded only if your place can be filled.
• If the society cancels an event, entry fees are refunded in full to the card used.

Guests

Where an event allows guests, the member who books them is responsible for them on the day and for their entry fee. Before booking, let your guests know that their details are shared with the society, as set out in the privacy policy. Guests appear in event results but do not earn Order of Merit points.

Handicaps, scoring and the committee

• Playing handicaps are worked out from your handicap index using the society's rules and each event's allowance.
• Scores entered in the app are the society's record. They are not submitted to England Golf.
• The committee checks and verifies cards. On any question of handicaps, scores, results, prizes or the Order of Merit, the committee's decision is final.

Using the app fairly

Keep your sign-in to yourself, enter scores honestly, and only enter scores for your own group. Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the service. The society may suspend access for misuse.

Our responsibility to you

We work to keep the service available and accurate, including offline scoring, but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. The committee's verified results are the official record. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, the society and Trailhead Holdings Ltd are not liable for indirect losses, and their total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid in the previous 12 months. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
